The slot machine, and why it makes people fight
Spins cost energy and pay out in cash, cards and attack symbols. The attacks are the part that turns a solo game into a social one.

The slot machine unlocks as you progress, and unlike the pusher it runs on energy rather than tickets. You earn energy back over time, or buy it if the regen timer is getting in your way.
Spins pay out three things. Cash goes into the resort. Cards go into your collection. Attack symbols send you after another player, and that is where the game stops being solitary.
What we like about this loop is how it feeds the pusher. You spin, you win cash and cards, you go back to pushing coins with more to play for. Neither mechanic works nearly as well on its own.
