This site does not run analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no signup form on it. The sections below about gameplay data and advertising identifiers describe how Falls of Fortune will work once it is released.
01 Introduction
Unabated Games Ltd ("we", "our", "us") is the data controller for this website and for Falls of Fortune. This policy explains how we handle your personal data under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
02 What we collect
From this website
Very little. The site is static, has no accounts and no forms. Our host records standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. If you email us, we hold that email and your address so we can reply.
From the game, once it launches
- account details such as a username, email address and age confirmation
- device information such as device type, operating system and unique identifiers
- gameplay data such as progress, achievements and in-game purchases
- support conversations
- usage analytics, crash reports and performance data
- advertising identifiers, where you have allowed them
03 Legal basis
- Contract: to provide the game and the services you ask for
- Legitimate interests: to improve the game, prevent fraud and keep our systems secure
- Consent: for marketing and for analytics or advertising where consent is required
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or disclose data
04 How we use it
- running and maintaining the game and this website
- processing purchases
- improving gameplay and building new features
- answering support requests
- detecting fraud, cheating and abuse
- meeting our legal obligations
- sending marketing messages, if you have asked for them
05 Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it with:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, advertising and payment processing
- Authorities where the law requires it, or to protect our rights
- A buyer if the business is sold or merged, in which case this policy travels with the data
06 International transfers
Some of our providers are outside the UK. Where data is transferred, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement and equivalent safeguards.
07 How long we keep it
- account data: until you delete your account, plus 30 days
- gameplay data: 3 years from your last activity
- support conversations: 2 years
- anything the law requires us to keep for longer, for as long as it requires
08 Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your data
- restrict how we use it
- send it to you or another provider in a portable format
- stop processing it where we rely on legitimate interests
- withdraw consent, where consent is what we relied on
Email info@unabated-games.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
09 Children
Our services are not intended for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
10 Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. If that changes we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it. The game will use identifiers for analytics and advertising, and you will be able to manage those in its settings and through your device.
11 Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss and disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the ICO about a breach where the law requires it.
12 Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the game develops, and change the date at the top of this page when we do. For significant changes we will say so on the site or in the game.
13 Contact
For anything about this policy or to exercise your rights, email info@unabated-games.com, or write to Unabated Games Ltd, Nottingham, United Kingdom.
